Cheapest, most effective skincare!
There is a plethora of options for you to choose from when you are picking your ideal skin care product. It is important to first and foremost cross out options that contain DEA, plastics, irritating fragrances, glycerin, parabens, phthalates and ingredients that one can’t even pronounce. These “chemical free/ all natural” products do more damage to your delicate facial skin than good. Therefore, the first thing you must keep in mind before trusting your skin with a certain product is to truly know what is in it. A lot of companies do not mention all the ingredients that they add to their product and ofcourse they’re not hiding the good contents.
So what’s the solution to this? We’ve got good news for you; DIY or do it yourself! You can make your own skin routine essentials at home really easily! They’re inexpensive and good for your skin; you are also a 100 percent aware about what’s in your product. Try to make your everyday products at home to reduce skin degradation and inhibit skin ageing and break outs.
Here’s a few super quick, super easy and super inexpensive DIYs for your skin care that will make your skin goals achievable: –
- Dirt removal cleanser
All you need is
- 1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil or virgin coconut oil
- 1 tbsp organic honey
- 1 tbsp lime juice
Take a bowl and stir all the three in a small cup and rub it on you face and neck gently. Now damp a piece of cloth in warm water and cleanse your face softly.
2. Blackhead removal scrub
What you will need
- 1 tbsp granulated sugar
- 1 tbsp granulated Himalayan salt
- 1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
- 2 drops of tea tree oil (if your skin is acne prone)
Stir the above ingredients so as to get a pasty mixture. Take the mix on your finger tips and apply it to the face and neck. Leniently exfoliate your skin so avoid reddening of the facial skin.
You can also add a little baking soda to the above mixture if the blackheads are too stubborn. Do not exfoliate your face more than twice a week. It will rip the face off its natural oils.
The most important ingredient for facial toner is ½ cup distilled water mixed with some crushed mint leaves. To that you may add
- ½ cup cucumber juice or
- ½ cup watermelon juice or
- ½ cup rose water (make it at home. Boil a few desi rose petals in a cup of water and wait for it to cool down. Strain the residue. Now you have your rose water)
Add either of the above three options to distilled water with crushed mint leaves and collect it in a bottle spray. Spray the toner on a cotton pad as much as to make it damp and rub this cotton pad on your face. Toner is the underdog of skincare regimes. Do not skip using it every day!
It is advised to not store the toner for more than a week. Make a fresh toner every week once you get the time to. This way you will also be able to create new mixes and see what works best for you.

- 2 tbsp freshly retained aloe vera pulp
- 2 tbsp sweet almond oil
